Can you solve this riddle?

There was a girl who just got her drivers license. She was so exited that she walked right out of the of the place, and walked to her car. Then she realized that she was on a one-way street. Then a truck came at here and she almost died, but she swerved away just in time. Then the cops came by and didn't pull her over and arrest her. How is this possible?
