Can you solve this riddle?

One man walked into a bar and ordered a drink with ice. He drank the drink quickly and left the bar. Another man walked into the bar and sat down in the same seat as the man before. Then he ordered the same drink in the same exact glass as the man before without it being washed. Then he died, but the first one lived. Why did he die?
