Can you solve this riddle?

There's a fishermen. The fishermen caught fish, nine without tails, six without heads, and eight without bodies. How many fish did he catch? ***Hint. Look carefully at how the sentences are said. It may sound odd, but there's a reason why it's written like that.

Zero, because when you draw 9,6,8 on a piece of paper, erase the stem on the six and nine, and one of the circles on the eight. The number you're left with on all of them is zero.
