Riddle

A man sits at a bar and orders a Scotch on the Rocks. A women sits down next to him and orders the same drink. He takes his drink, looks at the time and chugs his scotch. He leaves out the door as the woman stays for over an hour in the bar finishing her drink. The next day the woman is found dead and forensics shows that she was poisoned from the Scotch on the Rocks. The man who drank the same drink but left early is still alive. How is this possible?
