Can you solve this riddle?

A man works as a guard at a bank. He is a psychic who has visions in dreams. One day he went to the manager to tell him "You will crash your car. I know this because I am a psychic." That day, the manager crashes his car. The next day he called the psychic in and said, "If I catch you doing this again, I'll fire you." The very next day, the psychic runs to the manger and says, "Sir, your wife will die today!" The manager runs home and finds his wife dead. The next time the manager sees the psychic he says, "YOU'RE FIRED!" Why did the manger fire the psychic?
