Can you solve this riddle?

There were two twins named Daniel and David. David robbed a bank and got busted by the police. The twins were taken to court but David didn't get in trouble. WHY?

They were Siamese twins and since Daniel didn't do anything wrong, they weren't put in jail because you can't put an innocent man in jail.
