Three men were playing poker. A man finally won, collected his winnings, then grabbed his gun and shot himself. WHY?

The men were trapped and about to die. All they had were cards, their wallets and a gun with a single bullet in it. They decided to play one last game of poker to see who got the quick and painless way out.
