Can you solve this riddle?

A man was found laying dead on his back, face up, with a large stab wound in his back in a concrete room with no windows or openings of any kind. All that was found in the room with him was the puddle of water he was laying in. How did he die?

He slipped on a very small patch of water that was made by a large icicle slowly melting, tip up, on the floor. He landed on the icicle that stabbed him through his back.
